Trump’s 2nd Term is a Local 100 Threat
As we step into a second Trump term, transit workers in New York City and TWU Local 100 members face new challenges that threaten the core of our union power, job security and worker protections. With federal funding cuts, pushes toward privatization, and weakened labor rights on the table, it’s time to prepare for the fight ahead. Governor Hochul is working to secure local support, but the stakes are high and every member of TWU Local 100 needs to be ready to take action. Here’s what this moment means for us.

The Battle For TWU Retiree Healthcare
Earlier today, I joined a Zoom call with TWU100R, alongside about 60 active and retired members, to discuss a critical issue that threatens the well-being of our retirees—the City’s push to force them into Medicare Advantage. This isn’t just a change in coverage; it’s an outright betrayal by Mayor Eric Adams and TWU Local 100’s leadership, who have sold out the very people who built this union. If this leadership can abandon our retirees now, what does that mean for the rest of us?
this is why your VOICE matters
My commitment to our future is unwavering. I'm here to build a foundation for meaningful advocacy and I need your support to make it happen. I'll be working tirelessly to advance the initiatives I’ve discussed, and I’m here, ready to fight every day for the future we all deserve. If you believe in this fight and want to see us reach new heights, I’m asking for your support. A small monthly donation can make a huge difference, but anything is appreciated, to help in building the resources we need to go toe-to-toe with anyone who threatens our future. Every dollar strengthens our collective voice, fuels our advocacy & prepares us for the battles ahead.
